Regional Conferences

The Northeast State Regions hosts two day long conferences each school year:

The Junior State of America holds several one-day conferences each year. These student-run conferences are typically held on a Saturday or Sunday on the campus of a major university or high school. Debates, thought talks, guest speakers and simulations fill the day, just like at overnight conventions.

These conferences are referred to as Regionals because they are held by the elected officials of individual JSA regions, for the students of that region. They offer students a great chance to prepare for JSA overnight conventions, meet students from nearby high schools and debate and discuss topics within unifying themes that are less broad than those of overnight conventions. Regionals offer an accurate JSA experience that is both free of charge, and a local event. Recent JSA One Day conferences have focused on law and justice, American history, elections, and foreign policy; and have been held at Stuyvesant High School and the Cardozo School of Law.
